Why people look for an uncensored ChatGPT
The search usually starts with a refusal. A dark scene in a novel, a blunt medical or legal question, an argument for the side nobody wants to argue: ChatGPT declines some of these, and its own pricing page says usage must comply with OpenAI’s policies. No setting in ChatGPT switches that off.

Moving over from ChatGPT
Paste your custom instructions into the system prompt in Settings in the chat. Pick a model: the free ones come first in the picker, and the models page lists all 145 with prices. If you use the OpenAI SDK, the API speaks the same format, so only the base URL, the key and the model id change.
