What private AI chat means here

A private AI chat is one where the conversation is yours to keep or delete. In the chat, saved conversations and the characters you make live in your browser and nowhere else. Each turn is one request: the prompt and the reply pass through and are not written anywhere on our side.

Two things are true of every hosted chat, this one included. We keep one usage record per request (the model, the token counts and the charge), because billing needs it. And the company running the model receives the request so it can answer.

No ID, no phone, no KYC

The free turns need no account at all. An account is an email address with a 6-digit code, or Google or GitHub. Nothing asks for a name, an ID document or a phone number, and that holds for plans and top-ups too. You can top up from $10 with crypto; with a card, the number goes straight to our payment processor and never reaches us.

What is kept

  • The email address you sign in with.
  • One usage record per request: request id, model, token counts and the charge.
  • The ledger of balance changes: top-ups, charges and refunds.
  • API keys as a salted hash, if you make one.
  • A SHA-256 fingerprint, never the text, of each request and response, so a signed receipt can show what was billed, and of large system prompts for 7 days.
  • Where your first visit came from, saved with your account when you create one.

The site measures visits with analytics that never see prompts, chats or files. The privacy policy names every processor and every cookie.

Off until you switch it on

  • Memory stores the notes you save on our side. It starts off.
  • Replay keeps an API key’s request bodies for 7 days. It is off unless you turn it on for that key.
  • A share link keeps that one chat on our side until the link expires, 30 days later. No chat is shared unless you make a link.

Anonymous AI chat on the free turns

With no account there is no email to tie a chat to. The three free turns a day are counted per visitor, and a human check runs before a free reply. That is all the free chat asks of you. 90 of the 145 chat models answer on the free turns; the free chat page shows what a turn includes.

Questions.

Your chats are saved in your browser, not on our servers. Prompts and replies pass through and are not written anywhere. We keep one usage record per request (model, token counts, charge) for billing, and the company running the model receives the request so it can answer.

Yes. Three free turns a day on 90 models with no account, no email and no card.

No. No KYC, no ID and no phone number, on the free turns, a free account, plans and top-ups. An account is an email address, Google or GitHub.

No. Replay and the response cache, which do keep request bodies, are off unless you turn them on for an API key. Memory, which stores notes on our side, starts off.

Yes. Top up from $10 with crypto, or pay by card. Card numbers go straight to our payment processor and never reach us.

Start a new chat, which replaces the saved one, or clear this site's data in your browser. A chat you shared stays at its link until the link expires.

Nothing to hand over first.
